Hypable’s regular Doctor Who writer, Laura Byrne-Cristiano leads the discussion with co-hosts Natalie Fisher and Harri Sargeant. This podcast is the audio file from our GoogleHangout live show.

This week we are excited to have two returning hosts who we haven’t had on in awhile: Natalie and Harri! In fact, Harri stayed up until 3:00am to have the time zones work out on our live show. We start off by giving our instant thumbs up, down, or sideways reaction to the episode as well as our one-word Doctor description. It’s a sidewaysish thumb (we think we coined a new term there) for Laura, Harri, and Natalie, but Harri wonders if he’s being too nit-picky. We universally again loved Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor, but we definitely have a few questions like: How did they get out of the Dalek? Is Clara going to suffer any after effects? Is Danny who he says he is? What is the story with Missy?

• We each have a unique for for the Doctor: transitioning, Shelockian, and pragmatic.
• We start with some of out favorite quotes which all seem to do with the Doctor’s lack of bedside manner.
• We kind of like the cut-to-the-chase Doctor, but we still wanted to slug him.
• Is it possible the Doctor is too dark? We don’t have Colin Baker take 2 do we?
• Danny Pink, so far we like that he is less awkward than Rory and Mickey, but is he human and who he says he is?
• Was a new spin on the Daleks needed, and how do previous companion contact with the Daleks figure in if at all?
• What is with Mary Poppins on crack—er—Missy. We can’t figure her out. Is she the woman in the shop
• Unpopular Doctor Who opinion, please send your hate mail and death threats to the correct person.
