Join us as we discuss Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 4, episode 17, “Superstar,” and Angel season 1, episode 17, “Eternity.”

Superfans: Selina and Caitlin
Newbies: Brittany and Ariana

Fun Facts:
Caitlin bought an Angel Funko to go with her Buffy Funko and her ship now lives on forever in her heart and on her shelf. The final presidential debate spoiled an episode of Angel. Ariana believes that Angel and Buffy dates IRL for a hot second. Selina’s fun fact is that she does not believe this relationship happened.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 4, episode 17, “Superstar”:
-Jonathan centric episode!
-What was going on with this episode? Were we confused?
-Danny Strong is a gem and were so glad Buffy realized this
-The season 4 stigma prevents some superfans from rewatching this epic episode!
-The newbies weigh in on what they think of season 4
-Is Buffy really getting meta by throwing the show off balance to reflect the college experience? 0_o
-Did you really think that Jonathan would kill Buffy?
-As long as parallel universes have a purpose they’re okay
-“Magic always comes with a cost”
-Was Jonathan actually the monster?
-Your “worst nightmare” monster title is not something you can throw around after seeing gentlemen
-What is going on with Tara? (Not just her clothes, but also her clothes)
-Anya fits in much more than Tara
-But maybe we just need to give Tara some time to grow
-Tara is a bit like Jonathan trying to find her way into the group
-What if this episode was actually about Tara and not Jonathan?
-Brittany finally feels included in Buffy just like Jonathan!
-Plus, more information about Adam!

Angel season 1, episode 17, “Eternity”:
-ANGELUS, ANGELUS, ANGELUS
-But first let’s talk about Tim Mineur (writer, producer)
-Joss added the element of Angel going bad instead of focusing on the “victim of the week”
-Angel is great at putting the focus on Wesley, Angel, and Cordelia
-There is a line drawn between Angel and Buffy in the maturity of their characters
-The show is about Angel’s redemption, but it is not all about saving people
-Maybe Angel can actually be about him becoming okay with more human
-Was Angelus’ return too early? Or was it so wonderful?
-Wesely saw Angelus for the first time!
-Ok it wasn’t a full turn, but still…
-How could Rebecca fool Angel?
-Cordelia amazes Angel because she is just not sad and she has every reason to be sad
-We have no idea when, how, or where Angelus should be introduced
-Cordelia is very bad at acting, very good at surviving
