Once Upon a Time season 5, episode 20, “Firebird”:
-Initial Reaction: Thumbs up/thumbs down
-Favorite Quotes
-The flashbacks into Emma’s pre-Storybooke story were definitely an episode highlight.
-Emma’s jacket is a character all its own.
-The woman bounty hunter chick was badass and we wish we could have gotten more time with her.
-Brittany does have one issue with the flashbacks, but they were ultimately a great addition to this episode.
-Hades and Zelena: True Love’s Kiss?
-It seemed too easy that Hades had in fact changed… until we see the rest of the episode.
-Robin has a human moment after handing over his kid.
-Why are we trusting Hades with Zelena and her kid? Trusting Zelena… sure. Trusting Hades? No way.
-Henry, Henry, Henry. Your ‘Unfinished Business’ booth was silly, but gave you purpose and was true to your character.
-It’s almost sadder that Henry lost Hook, mainly because they didn’t address his loss at all.
-Was Hades being an unreliable narrator with his version of the Orpheus story? Or did Once Upon a Time change the story to work here?
-Why did we spend half a season in the Underworld if nothing changed? Hook is still stuck, everyone else is back in Storybrooke.
-Hook and Emma were True Love. Tested and proven. Thanks Underworld.
-Hook and Emma’s goodbye. We’re not crying. You’re crying.
-Kristen legitimizes that kiss between the bars.
-Why Hook can’t die.
-A couple of crack theories as to how Hook can come back.
-Belle is in Pandora’s box. Definitely a good idea.
-We have a cringe-y moment talking about creepy familial names. AKA Rumple calling Pan ‘Papa’ the whole episode.
