Episode #79 – The Hermione Awakens

Hosted by Selina Wilken, Marama Whyte, Tariq Kyle, Pamela Gocobachi

December 22, 2015

So much good news this week! Harry Potter and the Cursed Child casts Harry, Ron and Hermione, there are badass Ghostbusters and Batman v Superman posters, and we’re still on a Star Wars: The Force Awakens high.

How We Hype:
It’s all The Force Awakens this week, as none of the regular hosts were able to be on the Star Wars Special we released last week. While Pam, Kyle and Marama share their excitement and reactions to the movie, there are no spoilers.

News:
– The Harry Potter play has cast its main trio. Major controversy: Ron is not ginger! Will we survive?
– Also, the Hermione thing. Which is not a thing…
– Moving on to Fantastic Beasts, and some fun (?) comments from David Yates
– Netflix’s Fuller House teaser trailer is unintentionally eerie
Batman v Superman and Ghostbuster character poster released
Star Wars: The Force Awakens nabs biggest opening weekend ever
Outlander casts Roger McKenzie!
UnReal is casting black bachelor. Are you watching this masterpiece yet?
– We have some details on House of Cards season 4.

TV Show of the Week:
– Pam is still watching Gossip Girl, at an alarming rate
– Marama loved the season finale of Quantico.

We wrap up with Listener Feedback. Happy holidays! We’ll have an episode next week, which is our end-of-the-year roundup show. More loose format, and we’ll talk about some of the best films, TV shows, books, music, and fandom events we’ve experienced over the past year. Leave us your best 2015 fandom memories in the comments.
