April 7, 2016

Selina, Marama and Kyle are back and they sound amazing in this new and improved Hype Podcast episode. We tackle Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, Sherlock, The Vampire Diaries and His Dark Materials news this week, discuss the Arrow shocker, and much more.

How We Hype:
– Marama once again wants to point out how great Jungle Book is in 3D (yes, really)
– Kyle is making good on his New Year’s resolution and reading a book!
– Selina finally began listening to Hamilton, but now she has a new problem…

News:
– His Dark Materials miniseries picks up Cursed Child writer Jack Thorne
– The WB moves up Wonder Woman, WE WANT IT NOW
– Marvel’s Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, might be titled “Homecoming”… which seems a little too on the nose
– John Williams opens the LA Wizarding World, Kyle cries
– Marama really enjoyed the bizarre Swiss Army Man trailer, but she’s the only one
– We preview some trailers coming soon: Rogue One, Fantastic Beasts and Doctor Strange
Sherlock series 4 adds its first female director, Steven Moffat teases “terror and tragedy.” Coincidence?
– The Doctor Who spin-off Class announces cast, Selina realizes it’s “the British Buffy” and has an on-air meltdown
– A VampireHype Podcast prophecy is fulfilled as Kat Graham finally leaves The Vampire Diaries behind!

TV Show of the Week:
– Marama is watching a little show called Gilmore Girls
– In all the excitement Selina accidentally spoils Arrow for Kyle, so proceed with caution…
– Our conversation drifts to The 100 (as tends to happen) and we make some announcements.

In Listener Feedback we reveal the results of our meme poll, and someone brings up the idea of a Hype Meetup.
