Episode #93 – Flashback to ‘Original Song’ and ‘Rumours’

Hosted by Natalie Fisher, Caitlin Kelly, and Mitchel Clow

December 23, 2014

Glee Chat is back for episode 93, continuing the Flashbacks series with Glee season 2, episode 16, “Original Song,” and episode 18, “Rumours.”

-We’re feeling REALLY geared up for the final season to air in a few weeks!
-Perhaps the final 13 will be written in a similar style to the first 13?
-What’s up with Puck wearing his dress blues around?
-Dear Fox execs: Mitch wants Becky to be nicer again, Caitlin wants Blaine’s rebound to be anyone else, and Natalie wants Blaine’s mom to be re-casted properly.
-Did we really miss out on so much by not covering “Blame it On the Alcohol”?

Glee season 2, episode 16, “Original Song”

-Why is Kurt the only one that cares about the “Blaine and the Pips” situation?
-So are the other Warblers just droids or figments of Blaine’s imagination or…
-How do fans fall into such strong obsessions with the Dalton Academy?
-“Do your thing, thin voice!”
-“Blackbird” was the moment that Blaine realized his feelings for Kurt.
-There are two sides of the Klaine coin to be interpreted from here on out.
-The chemistry between the actors alone in the Klaine first kiss was FANTASTIC.
-Is Blaine a Hufflepuff or Gryffindor?
-Pices was an example of actor chemistry gone right.
-Quinn was crying during the auditorium scene, bringing in a new level of depth Mitch didn’t originally interpret.
-Which original song at Regionals was better?
-“Dear Ryan Murphy: Have you ever been to Lima, Ohio?”
-Wow. Darren and Chris have such discordant harmonies.
-But at least “Raise Your Glass” was awesome!
-The. Judges. Are. Ridiculous. Like, pick satire or not, Glee.
-The bird dies. Blaine’s fantasies begin from thereon out.
-Shuester negative-point-0.
-What exactly is a Kangaroo Court?

Glee season 2, episode 18, “Rumours”

-Will’s wanting to go to Broadway. Did we actually care about Will’s pain?
-And like, he must’ve known that musical was horrible.
-Who would replace Will if he was to go on Broadway?
-What did we think of Finn and Rachel’s conversations in the stakeout scenes?
-Is Quinn justified in asking that Finn and Rachel don’t sing songs together anymore?
-Sam’s hair growth was a nice subtle way of showing his situation in this episode.
-It would’ve been nice to see some Sam-alone time to dedicate the viewers to his struggle.
-What was Santana thinking in telling Brittany that it wasn’t cheating if it involved two girls?
-“You get a guitar, and you get a guitar…”
-Bisexuality and its lack of representation in the media.
-WHY WOULD SHUE TELL BRITT THAT HE WEARS BOXERS.
-Sam is a beautiful, crying human being.
-Jack’s synopses of both episodes is on point. Except for the “Candles” part.
