Episode #91 – Flashback to ‘Never Been Kissed’ and ‘Furt’

Hosted by Natalie Fisher, Caitlin Kelly, Mitchel Clow, and Jack Farrugia

November 18, 2014

Glee Chat is back for Glee season 2, episode 6, “Never Been Kissed” and episode 8, “Furt.”

Glee season 2, episode 6, “Never Been Kissed”

-Wait Will went on in the golden underwear in Rocky?
-Thank god Becky wasn’t apart of this plot.
-This really wouldn’t have happened in high school.
-Finn’s little “trick” probably wasn’t a healthy thing.
-We’re sure Dot Marie-Jones didn’t feel too good about being made fun of like this.
-How do people ever deal with this kind of humor as an actor playing such a character?
-What’s the morality behind being a “character actor”?
-Will really shouldn’t have told Beiste everything.
-AND THEN HE PITY KISSES HER WAT.
-Puck’s always been really open about loving all types of woman.
Spoiler for season 6: Beiste will make the decision to a man.
-But haven’t they worked hard to prove how proud and comfortable she is with her womanhood?
-That kiss and “Teenage Dream” were both pretty big deals, culturally.
-The Blaine intro.
-What can we tell about Blaine immediately from this episode?
-Mitch fell in love with Blaine and was confused by Blaine all at once.
-Was Kurt in love with Blaine from the get-go?
-Blaine was very cocky in not telling Kurt initially about The Warblers.
-Why are not all schools zero tolerance bullying?
-Will only seemed to care once Kurt’s behavior was bothering him-just kidding, Will’s not THAT bad.
-That locker collage was so freakin’ creepy.
-Natalie had a visceral reaction to the locker room kiss.
-Karofsky tries to go in for a second kiss?
-AND IIIIIIIIII, WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOUUUUUU
-Wow the students are really fickle toward the New Directions. Like, one episode it’s hatred, another it’s love?
-Quinn’s reactions to everything were great in this episode.

Glee season 2, episode 8, “Furt”

-Karofsky has the impression that him and Kurt have a thing.
-Were the girls okay to pressure the men to physically “man-up” for Kurt?
-Karofsky’s dad was extremely unexpected and wonderful for not being the “typical bully dad.”
-Really, this whole wedding idea took place in one week?
Here’s the “Marry You” without instrumentals song that Mitch mentioned AGES ago. (listen from about 1:30 on for the best examples of the alleged autotuning)
-It was an INTENSE thing to rewatch this wedding.
-The Sue wedding was odd, not really needed, but on-point comedy wise.
-Quinn reacted appropriately to Sam’s odd promise-ring proposal.
-The Santana/Finn scene was a bit out of left field.
-Officiating a wedding really isn’t that hard of a thing to do.
-No, Kurt. Feeding a dove glitter would not work.
-Newscasters are always fun characters in comedies like this.
