Hosted by John Thrasher, Natalie Fisher, Mitchel Clow, and Jack Farrugia

April 28, 2014

Glee Chat delves into the gym activities of the hosts in our recap of Glee season 5, episode 17 “Opening Night.”

Shownotes:

-We miss Roxanne and her very Glee Chat After Dark stories!
-Natalie’s just getting off of her US tour.
-What’s wrong with Lorde, anyways?
-Cats can totally go on leashes.
-Shoutout to the Zack Luye lotion episode.
-Jack is the most common name in Western Australia. And now you know.
-Max Adler came back?!?!?

-Becky’s shouting was properly obnoxious.
-So we’re up to regular time now?
-The hallway sets are still around, even though the choir room isn’t.
-Where was Jemma?
-Rachel’s Funny Girl plot seems so understated.
-They really don’t know what to do with Tina.
-What other songs with “New York” can they fit in this show?
-Wemma had their baby the same night as Rachel’s opening night. Coincidence?
-Rachel’s dads really were meant to be there, weren’t they?
-Will’s “I love you” to Rachel gave us the creeps.
-Was Rachel’s walk to the stage a shoutout to Smash?
-We’re glad that Rachel’s performance didn’t get ruined by Sue walking out.
-The Sue romance plot felt out of place in the epicness of this episode.
-Why were there more of the West Side Story songs in that episode than Funny Girl ones in this one?
-It didn’t really make sense that Rachel would ditch the afterparty.
-We talk gay club stories that you need to be an adult to fully appreciate.
-And wait, is this Smash Chat or Glee Chat?
-It was a little bit too easy for Rachel’s first opening night to go as smoothly…
