Gratuitous shots of an Oakland booty riddled tonight’s episode of Glee, riling up the hosts of Glee Chat for their recap of Glee season 5, episode 4 “A Katy or a Gaga.”

– Natalie is okay being called Nat. And Mitch doesn’t mind being called either versions of his name. Also, the sun sets too early.
– We talk in depth of the magic being ruined for us at Disneyland.
– Throat Explosion would be a great hypnotist key word.
– Adam Lambert is “a genius,” in Natalie’s words.
– Where’s Brody? And that’s the way they’re going to wrap up the Adam/Kurt relationship?
– Who will be Rachel’s future love interest? And don’t worry, we’re talking in the far future.
– Who was Kurt to judge Starchild for his clothing?
– Why is Kurt making this band in the first place?
– L.A. face with an Oakland booty.
– The pop culture references are getting odder and odder – and follow things surrounding Glee Chat.
– Jacob Artist’s soothing R&B vocals had us groovin’.
– Stop trying to make Katy vs. Gaga happen.
– We break down the ways both Jake and Marley reacted to the sensual scene in Jake’s room.
– Wow, there’s a lot of star power in Pamela Lansbury.
– We were a bit, um, distracted during “Roar.”
– Glee spinoff? Would Lea Michele even like that?
– So is the Christmas episode happening for this season or is it not?
– Kurt’s going to Russia??

It’s a divide Glee made because Glee wanted the money.

Darren actually said in an interview that the Kurt Russia thing is ‘total BS’

I’m glad that the story line of Marley and her body issues/eating disorder came back around. It’s a serious thing that’s very prevalent among young women, and it doesn’t go away in a week even with therapy. I’m also glad that Marley didn’t just give in to Jake. Too many teens buy into the idea that they have to do intimate things that they aren’t ready for or comfortable with. Oh, and btw, Marley looks a lot like Katy Perry with the pink wig on!

I couldn’t even finish watching this episode, it felt so wooden and ridiculous. Especially after they actually found some real emotion in the last episode.
Thank goodness for Glee chat though – by listening to the podcast I can still be aware of what is going on in the Glee world.
Just hearing about Schuester’s suspension of Marley makes me so angry! Did he learn nothing from the Rocky Horror fiasco? No one should be forced to wear something revealing in front of the whole school, especially not someone with body issues like Marley. Schuester is not acting like a responsible teacher at all.
Jake’s behaviour upsets me as well, even though I haven’t seen it onscreen. I seem to recall him promising Marley that he was ok with her body issues and that they would take it slow?
