After a brief hiatus, we are back with episode six of WhoHype.

The show is dedicated to in-depth discussion about the Doctor Who universe: show and cast commentary, filming locations, rumors, tie-in video games/other products, spin-off series and more.

Don’t worry if you are trying to stay spoiler free for the upcoming series. We even have a specially marked spoiler section with a little help from River Song herself so listeners can skip around that information if they wish.

Two of our regular hosts are on the program this time out. Hypable’s regular Doctor Who writers, Laura Byrne-Cristiano and Harri Sargeant, lead the discussion.

– We start out discussing the BBC’s maddening tradition of not announcing air dates with any sense of timeliness. Of course in true Murphy’s Law fashion, the episode was recorded the night before the BBC officially announced today the air dates of the new series. Nonetheless, enjoy our consternation of the date not being announced until the dead last second.

– We proceed with an in-depth discussion of:

  • New trailers and stills
  • Who is that mystery red-head
  • 50th Anniversary docudrama

Our spoilers cover the details of the Christmas Special filming and our companion’s alleged full name and back story.

– Back from our spoilery discussion we leap into our mailbag, and answer questions from our listeners.

As we say in the show, our listeners are the most important thing to us. We want you hear from you. What do you want us to discuss?

I was just quoted! And to be clear, I did mean I didn’t mind the bad western accents in  terms of the context of “A Town Called Mercy.” If actors don’t have accents down and it is meant to be more authentic, yes it bugs me.
