yeah, and you could have been listening to other Once Upon a Time podcasts, its fun to listen to all the different ones out there. I enjoy listening to this one as well as ONCE podcast (oncepodcast.com)

I liked this episode, I really liked all the Regina, Rumple and Charming scenes, and i loved the Regina and Henry scene. I liked that Emma told Snow to have faith, that they would get back to Storybrooke – Emma is finding her Charming roots :) Can’t wait for next weeks show, but i really want Emma and Snow to get back to Storybrooke am tired of seeing the Charming family seperated. Also I can’t wait to see what happens when Cora meets Regina and Rumple again – coz come on she has to get to Storybrooke!

  • Jess

I don’t think Aurora gave up her heart because:
    1) how?! I doubt very many people can just reach in and rip out their own hearts. Even if she didn’t, Hook would have had to learn how to do that. Also, Milah’s heart was ripped out. I feel like it would be too weird for Hook to rip out someone else’s.
    2) she doesn’t have much to lose, but she does have something to live for. Aurora proved she wouldn’t just give up in her discussion with Cora; she wouldn’t willingly trade her heart with Hook.
    3) the favor Hook asked of Aurora was to pass on a message to Emma, not for a heart.

The mention of Ping in this episode got me really excited about the possibility of Mushu making an appearance.

  • Genny

Words cannot describe how much I want Emma to be shocked when Hook shows up at Rumple’s cell and say “How did you find us!” and Hook will respond with, “Lass, I will always find you.” and my little shipper heart will swoon indecently ;)

But alas, Hook will probably be cheeky and reply, “Oh i followed my heart, thanks Aurora for that!” and whip it out (his heart from Aurora you hussy!) or some such sauciness!

    • Karen Rought

Bahahaha. Hook is pretty saucy, isn’t he? I love it too.

Idea about the storybook and the call that August made. Was the call that August made to the author of the storybook? Therefore that would make sense with when he said that the timeline that had to be sped up because
    A. If the timeline had to sped up then the book needed to be changed so that it would be faster for the curse to be broken so that August would not turn into a boy (even though that did happen)
    B. That would make sense with the idea that the author of the storybook isn’t August, but yet August knows the author… Who the author would be though, is the question.

  • Jan

So as I’m listening to you guys discuss Hook’s comments to Coraabout getting what she wants, I can’t help but think of the Frog Princess: “You got what you wanted, but you lost what you had.”

  • 17jeda

Hypable doesn’t like letting me comment… I’ve been here since day one :/

It’s probably just a glitch, our server is getting banged pretty hard with the Battleships tournament going on

(I’m so sorry my comments are always so long. I just have a lot of thoughts while listening to the podcast!)

I think Cora is more focused on Regina and is letting Hook do her dirty work as far as where Rumplestiltskin goes. Because Hook’s spent years in Neverland trying to figure out how to kill the Dark One, he has to know a fair amount of magic by now, and apparently he knows enough to let Cora let him detroy Rumple. This could also explain how he is able to use such strong magic as what it takes to remove a person’s heart.

Once Upon A Time: Where all fandoms converge. I like this. Can we get Supernatural in on this? I could totally see some Dean/Emma happening. Or maybe the Doctor (as in Doctor Who) can come to town for a bit?

Graham didn’t have any idea about his heart being taken as well. It makes sense that Aurora wouldn’t. I don’t think Aurora has any idea that her heart has been taken from her because she has lost so much already that she probably was already numb to begin with.

Maybe I’m biased, but I think Archie and Ruby could work together to run the town while Charming’s away. Archie’s accountability that he impresses onto people along with the strength behind Ruby’s character would be the perfect combination to keep everyone in check. Both Regina and Rumple have come to Archie for help before so I feel like they are also actually willing to listen to him, which is more than I can say for just about any other character BESIDES Charming.

I was shouting at my tv “DON’T SAY IT! DON’T SAY IT! DON’T SAY IT!” when Regina said that Snow and Charming would always find each other. (And no, saying just Always is not okay because that word belongs to Snape and Lily. Obnoxious Snily fan, yes, I know. Don’t care. Moving on…)

Maybe by having the soul taken out forcibly rather than naturally in death, the body is preserving itself until the soul can be put back into place and the person can live out their life until their natural death?

I have a lot of feelings about Aurora. I went from absolutely hating her to her becoming one of my absolute favorite characters. I actually relate more to her than any other character on the show. Her self esteem is so low that she literally thinks she has no worth. She was willing to put her life in danger because she believed no one would mourn her death. She DID put her life in danger to prove she could do something right. And now her heart has been ripped from her and she has no idea. I’m really excited to see more of her and I’m really anxious to see how things work out for her.

Sidenote: Kitsis and Horowitz said that the person August was on the phone with was Henry. Remember, in the next scene Henry and August met in the diner? I’m all for the Bae is Peter Pan theory but I’m so anti “Neal is Bae” for several reasons that I can’t even process the idea.

And on the book itself, I’m still trying to figure out why it is that Henry was never able to figure out that Gold was Rumplestiltskin. By that I mean, because he never figured it out, Rumple couldn’t have been in the book at all despite the fact he was so intricately connected in so many different storylines. Otherwise Henry would have figured out who he was, and rather quickly.

    • Bridget

But wasn’t Graham’s heart taken before the curse, so then of course he wouldn’t remember it.

      • http://twitter.com/notenoughpuff Sarah

        That’s true.

  • Bridget

I want to believe Aurora was in on the whole heart thing, but I doubt it. After Emma left him he probably figured that he wouldn’t be able to find Rumple with them, so now he needs Cora to get him there. Also, you guys had me dying laughing when you are talking about the amount of times Snow and Charming have said i will always find you. it is pretty obnoxious at this point.

  • BlueNargles

When Charming smashed the floor of the room he was in, I didn’t think of glass, but ice. There could definitely be some sort of poetic meaning to the fire room and ice room right next to each other.

Also, I love the idea that Aurora gave away her heart. I don’t think she’s insecure at all, just unfulfilled without her life as a princess or true love, and if giving Hook her heart serves a greater purpose that could help people (or maybe bring Phillip back?) she would make the sacrifice.

  • zpplnchick

I loved this episode – Jess is definitely my favorite Onceable-er. I started laughing aloud when she mentioned the Dept. of Mysteries… my mind went straight to a scene where Charming and Snow are talking to each other so passionately but then are interrupted when the Trio, Luna and Neville burst in, find out this isn’t the room, then run back out – the Death Eaters coming in shortly after of course.
I’d have killed to see that happen ;)

I just had one comment about Cora. She seems to have some ultra power over hearts that we didn’t previously know could be done. Wouldn’t this help prove that she is indeed truly “The Queen of Hearts”?

With this whole Phillips soul isnt gone stuff I SWEAR URSULA (The Little Mermaid) will make an appearance. I mean come on she has a thing for souls ( Poor Unfortunate Souls) and the Magical Squid ink that Rumpel had / Snow used to free them from the cell. I mean Plausible right?? I think so

What if Emma is the ugly duckling?
The duckling is and outsider amongst its siblings, then in the ends turns out to really be a swan.
Emma grew up as part of the fostercare system – an outsider.
Then came to Storybrooke and showed how special she is.
She is after all called Swan.

Quick Question: Do you guys think that we will eventually have a Mulan flashback? I would personally love to have an episode devoted to her, and I think it’d be great to finally know how she met Prince Philip and maybe even learn about her war buddies.
