-On her marriage license her husband’s last name was misspelled with a space, so they both decided to keep Le Guin
-She marched against the Vietnam war in a conga line with Allen Ginsberg
Philip K Dick was in her graduating class at Berkeley High—the two did not know each other
-She is very vocal about Google’s digitization of literature and has had some feuds with Amazon and Google about the lack of proper compensation for authors
-At age 11 she submitted her first story to the magazine Astounding Science Fiction. It was rejected.
