The Magicians didn’t focus as much on Brakebills South as Brittany would have liked
-But Syfy channel is doing some things right
-Karen really enjoyed The Shannara Chronicles and loved the character development, subverted tropes
-But how will they move forward in season 2?
-The production value is astounding for MTV
Shadowhunters has hit its stride
-Have our opinions changed on the series?

The Books of the Irish:
The Hook and the Hermit is not about the profession you may think
-Of course you should check out Brooklyn by Colm Toibin
-A mysterious murder in Ireland takes a mourning sister abroad in the Fever series by Karen Moning

The Authors of the Irish:
-Sadly, no of us have read any Maeve Binchy except Jen
-Master of the vampire, Bram Stoker, is Irish!
-Frank McCourt wrote some required reading for us!
-C.S. Lewis is another one we didn’t know was from the Emerald Isle.
-Eoin Colfer’s Artimis Fowl was written in Ireland.
-Oscar Wilde and James Joyce were also on the list!
-There are a lot of Scotland books we thought were Irish!
