Peter Dinklage is still going strong on Game of Thrones, and he’s singing about it (with Coldplay!) for Red Nose Day on NBC.
This week has been a controversial one for fans of Game of Thrones, but this clip from Dinklage’s performance helps lighten the mood at least a touch. The Emmy Award-winning actor, known for his performance as the complicated and mercurial Tyrion Lannister, lets loose with Coldplay in a bluesy original titled “Still Going Strong.”
In the song, Dinklage lists off the characters who have predeceased him on HBO’s epic (and bloody) fantasy series — of which there are many. Dubbing himself the “man for all seasons,” Dinklage acknowledges that “Some people’s parts just ain’t very long / But not me! I’m still going strong.”
Dinklage and Coldplay’s full performance of “Still Going Strong” will air as part of Red Nose Day on May 21 on NBC. The song will be part of a sketch called “Game of Thrones: The Musical” (which is basically everything we never knew we needed) and will involve various cast members from the HBO series.

Red Nose Day, an established charity event in the U.K., will debut for the first time this year in the U.S. The event raises funds for children and young people around the world, and various opportunities to donate to the cause will be capped off by the three-hour live comedy show on NBC. In addition to the cast of Game of Thrones, dozens of celebrities — including Liam Neeson, Rose Byrne, Jack Black, Julia Roberts, and Zac Efron — are scheduled to participate.
Nick Cannon will kick off Red Nose Day with a 24-hour dance-a-thon (yikes!) and musical acts such as 1Direction and Keith Urban will also be involved. Comedians such as Jimmy Fallon, and various sketches produced by Funny or Die, will also be part of the epically charitable festivities.
Game of Thrones: The Musical and the Red Nose Day television special will air on May 21 at 8:00 p.m. on NBC.
