A great Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters poster debuted online today and gives us a close look at the lead character’s sword.
Check it out below. The sword carries his father’s trident symbol on it and is quite shiny:
Sadly we don’t get a glimpse into Lerman’s striking eyes in this poster, but the good news is that a similar poster released earlier this week lets us see into his soul.
Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters opens in theaters August 7. 30-minute previews of the film earlier this month left viewers feeling good about The Lightning Thief follow up. Those who have been spectating from the sidelines via trailers and photos feel that this movie will be much improved over the last one. It stars Logan Lerman as Percy, Alexandra Daddario as Annabeth, Brandon T. Jackson as Grover, and Jake Abel as Luke. Nathan Fillion (Hermes), Stanley Tucci (Dionysus), Leven Rambin (Clarisse), and Douglas Smith (Tyson) also star.
It’s been an exciting few weeks for fans of author Rick Riordan. In addition to growing publicity for Sea of Monsters, on May 31 we saw the cover for House of Hades which features Percy and Annabeth clinging on to one another. It was a cover that’s been highly-anticipated by fans – particularly those who ship the couple.
