Penny Dreadful‘s fourth episode of the season, “Demimonde,” airs tonight and in it things will just be getting creepier.
Last week on ‘Penny Dreadful’
We learned the name of Victor’s first human science project: Caliban. Turns out that when he was born he was in agonizing pain, and it scared Victor so much that Victor stayed away from him. Caliban learned on his own and left Victor’s place to explore the world, where he was introduced to the ridicule and anger of mankind. Although he did eventually learn kindness from a man who took him in and taught him about theater.
Caliban demanded that Victor make a new human science project, but this time: A woman, because he wants a mate.
Meanwhile, Vanessa and Malcolm went on the hunt for Mina when Vanessa had a vision of her. It lead them to a zoo, where Ethan tagged along and helped them discover a vampire, a young boy, who they decided to take captive. Malcolm recruited Victor to try and come up with a cure for the young boy’s affliction, despite Ethan’s protests to leave him alone.
This week, we’ll get even more characters.
We’ve already met the likes of Frankenstein, Mina, and Dorian Gray – now it’s time for Van Helsing the vampire hunter to come into the mix! The synopsis for this week’s episode reads
Vanessa’s infatuation with Dorian Gray continues to grow. Professor Abraham Van Helsing is hired to work with Dr. Frankenstein. And Fenton draws his master to Sir Malcolm’s mansion.
