The brilliant mind of Frank Darabont – who led The Walking Dead for all of season 1 and a good chunk of season 2 before leaving – now has his next project lined up.
It’s based on the L.A. Noir.
TNT has pacted with Frank Darabont on a pilot order for “L.A. Noir,” a drama based on the book by John Buntin.
Set in the 1940’s and ’50s, project will examine the conflict between the often corrupt Los Angeles Police Department — and its leader, Chief William Parker — and underworld figures such as Mickey Cohen.
Darabont will write and direct the pilot. He will also exec produce with Michael De Luca and Elliot Webb. Net’s inhouse shingle, TNT Original Prods., is set to produce.
Will you follow Darabont to this project or does The Walking Dead still sound more interesting?
