Orphan Black reunited Helena with Sarah, but it wasn’t the best of reunions.
Castor plans
Rudy has brought Mark and Sarah back to Castor HQ. The Castor mother proceeds to dissect Henrick’s dead baby to find a cure for the Castor Clones. They are hopeful that what they will extract will work. The only hitch is that “the major,” A.K.A. Paul, is not going to be happy about this. Rudy is given 48 hours leave off base so he won’t have a run-in with Paul.
Meanwhile, Mark is still not 100% honest with his “mother.” He lies about why he burned off his tattoo, and doesn’t state that he truly loved Gracie. As he recuperates, his mother forces him to write about his encounters with Gracie in some sort of journal. Apparently, Castor Clones need to log all sexual contact.
Paul, upon his arrival, visits Sarah and makes it clear that he is on a mission to help Castor. He doesn’t consider his actions worse than Sarah’s actions. He states that Helena is a murderer who is no better than he is. Sarah tries to get him to see reason and do the right thing.
Cosima’s hot date
Cosima uses her dating app and advice from Felix to find a date. Although she initially intends just to test the waters, Cosima ends up inviting her app match, back to her apartment where they go from flirting to just shy of sleeping together. Danger bells are going off in everyone’s but Cosima’s head. This new girlfriend is too good to be true: expert masseuse, Pablo Neruda quoting, earth mother freak.
Gracie the wild child
Gracie shows up on Art’s doorstep looking for help. Not really having the time to deal with Gracie, Art pawns her off on Mrs. S and Felix so he can be free to try and track down Sarah. Now that Gracie is no longer pregnant and under the control of her parents, she wants to live life.
Gracie’s idea of clubbing fashion makes her look like a refugee from Madonna’s 1980’s movie Desperately Seeking Susan. To stop her from going too crazy in the outside world, Mrs. S. and Felix decide to throw Gracie a party at their home where they can keep an eye on her. Gracie makes up for lost time downing a ton of cocktails supplied by Felix as Felix and Mrs. S. attempt to teach her how to dance.
Sarah and Helena are jail buddies
Helena is still suspicious of Sarah even though Sarah tries to explain that it was Mrs. S. and Paul who betrayed Helena and not her. Later on Paul confirms this information. Sarah supplies Helena with the information that the Castor Clones are actually their brothers. Helena in turn lets Sarah know that Castor may think that the Leda Clone’s blood may solve the Castor Clone’s genetic problems.
Helena still doesn’t trust Sarah telling her that she is only good to be her sandwich, A.K.A. dead weight. Sarah meanwhile opens up to Helena about how she, through her own selfishness, lost time with Kiera. Sarah doesn’t want to lose time with Helena due to more mistakes. Helena seems to believe her, and together they hatch a plot to free Helena. Unfortunately, Helena double crosses Sarah and leaves her alone to escape.
Poison semen?
So, shocker: the reason the Castor Clones keep the sexual diary is that the girls they have sex with are infected. Whatever happens to them ultimately, it starts with red, bleeding eyes and collapse.
