Once Upon a Time fans, set your alarms! There is an announcement coming this Friday, but what does it have to do with Marvel?

Update (January 20, 2015, 4:30 p.m. eastern) It looks like a comic produced by Marvel Comics is the answer! Listed on Amazon for pre-order, Once Upon a Time: Out of the Past will be available April 15, 2015.
The comic features a stock cover photo for now, but the description is as follows:
Return to the immersive world of ABC’s hit television series ONCE UPON A TIME with an all-new sequel to the original graphic novel, ONCE UPON A TIME: The Shadow of the Queen. Welcome to the Enchanted Forest, where the characters from classic fairy tales have come to life and are locked in an epic struggle between good and evil! Plotted by series writer and co-executive producer, Kalinda Vazquez, and co-written by returning author Corinna Bechko, the release will tie into official show continuity and dive in to four never-before-told stories of fan favorite characters!
Thanks to Kevin for the tip!

Original story: The official Once Upon a Time Twitter account began releasing images today teasing an announcement that will follow on Friday. The two pictures are water color style renderings of Killian’s hook and Rumple’s dagger next to Bell’s rose. But the most interesting piece of both of these images is the tiny Marvel logo located on the bottom left.

Fans may want to believe that this has some connection to David’s mention of Asgard earlier in Once Upon a Time‘s fourth season. However, a comic book sequel is much more likely.
In 2013, a comic based on the hit ABC series titled, Once Upon a Time: Shadow of the Queen was released by Marvel Comics. The story focused on the Evil Queen and the Huntsman’s relationship after she, quite literally, takes his heart and forces him to become her slave. Regina unleashes another plan to capture Snow White with the help of werewolves. If a second issue is in the works, hopefully it will align itself with the current developments of the show now that the battle between Snow White and the Evil Queen has finally run its course.
The coloring of the cover is the strongest clue to another comic since it is similar to that of the posters. With Once Upon a Time hitting records with their live airing and being one of the most watched shows on Netflix, the timing is perfect for another issue!
We will update this post as more clues are released this week and with the official announcement on Friday! Stay tuned!
What do you hope the ‘Once Upon a Time’ announcement will be?
