Once Upon a Time announces two of the Frozen characters set to appear as part of season 4’s latest story arc.
Oncers, hold onto your hats (and mittens), Anna and Kristoff are officially on their way to Storybrooke. Today, the roles of two of Arendelle’s latest transfers were announced, but the lead role, Elsa has yet to surface from the casting room.
You may not recognize the goof-ball Cappie from his Greek days, but rest assured that the writers will tap into that energy, casting Scott Michael Foster as Kristoff. Foster is currently appearing in the ABC Family summer series, Chasing Life.
Also joining the ranks, is new-comer Elizabeth Lail, who will make her debut as Anna!
Casting an unknown is great news for fans of both the show and the character’s origin movie, Frozen. Taking Kristen Bell out of the running opens up the door for the character to take a different shape more suited to the Once Upon a Time storyteller’s minds, without the weight of Disney’s latest franchise entangled more than necessary.
With the power couple of the movie cast, the only missing link is the ice queen herself, Elsa. A stand in took on the part for the final few minutes of season 3’s finale, but no official word for season 4 is available yet. Elsa is set to appear in the most number of episodes, Anna and Kristoff in a few less.
