Singer Nick Jonas is in talks to join the upcoming retelling of Jumanji, Deadline reports.
The actor is currently “in talks” to join the reboot which has already cast Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black. The movie will be directed by Jake Kasdan.
Jonas’ involvement marks another example of the singer moving further and further into the world of acting. In the past year he’s starred in two TV series: Fox’s Scream Queens and Direct TV’s Kingdom.
The Jumanji reboot has been met with a lot of skepticism because the original movie, which opened in 1995, starred the late Robin Williams as Alan Parrish. There’s also this question: Why reboot a recent-ish classic?
The new Jumanji is slated to hit theaters in July 2017.
