This trailer offers the best exchange Girls has given its target audience to date. Following the question, “In the four years since college ended what have you accomplished?” Hannah’s reply, “Four years is nothing,” allows everyone to exhale for a minute. Yes, four years is nothing. And judging by the ending of this trailer, Hannah’s struggles are about to pay off in a big way.
The empowered and optimistic Hannah is certainly welcome, but luckily the old Hannah is not lost. No matter what great opportunities present themselves, your best self is largely made up of your past while making room to appreciate the present. Jessa sums it up best: “Happiness is about appreciating what we have.” For Hannah, that may be a book deal!
All the warm and fuzzy feelings are great, but there is a much more important moment to highlight; Marnie’s internet debut! The trailer gives a short glimpse at FORBIDCharlie1986’s video, “Marnie Michaels- What I Am.” Perhaps the only glimpse of Charlie viewers will see this season is a thumbnail that features his mustache. However one has to wonder, who are these 444 subscribers? And what are the other 57 videos Charlie has uploaded?
Marnie is in no shape to find out that a video featuring her less than amateur dance moves is raking in more than 1,000 views. Marnie’s silver lining is still waiting to be discovered.
