Disney hopes you’ll watch this just-released trailer for Monsters, Inc. 3D and get motivated to see the film in a new light this December.
The trailer highlights some of the more exciting scenes in the classic 2001 Pixar story that will shine in 3D and HD theaters December 19. Personally, we’re more excited simply to see it in a nice theater. Technology has advanced a lot since its theatrical debut eleven years ago.
Monsters, Inc. follows Mikey and Sulley as they deal with the accidental entrance of a human child in the monster world. The main issue is Sulley’s surprise love for the little girl Boo who makes him realize children aren’t a thread to monsters.
Disney announced that the film would be one of several of their classics being re-released in theaters in the 3D format. Finding Nemo 3D will be released September 14, 2012 and The Little Mermaid 3D hits September 13, 2013. The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast have already been re-released in the past year.
