Scorch Trials producer Wyck Godfrey has released a new movie poster via Twitter.
Three months away from its release, Godfrey took to Twitter to unveil a new movie poster for The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials.
Not only is the new poster visually stunning, it paints an interesting metaphorical picture as well.
In the first movie poster you could see the Gladers heading straight into the ruined cities of the scorch. It highlighted just how far the group has come and just how large, desolate, and barren the world around them really is.
In this new image the ruined city is actually acting as a bridge across the canyons of the scorch. Could this mean that the gang may find help within the city’s walls?
Perhaps the only way across the expansive scorch is with the help of the surrounding urban remains. Book readers shouldn’t have too much trouble distilling the meaning behind these rough ideas.
Then again, it could also just be a really cool image that the PR team couldn’t resist exploring.
Recent Scorch Trials news included the reveal of a special edition movie tie-in novel going into publication. The book will contain special features such as an eight-page full-color insert with photos from the film, as well as an exclusive fan sticker. Director Wes Ball will also be providing a foreword for the book’s release. To find out when the special edition will be available, visit our previous report.
Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials will hit theaters September 18, 2015
