European Star Wars fans can start saving up now: Madame Tussauds London is opening a themed expansion in May!
The world is gearing up for the new Star Wars movie trilogy, with moms and dads everywhere frantically shoving Millennium Falcons and lightsabers at the their children, while they re-read the spin-off novels for the hundredth time. Fandom is a wonderful thing.
And soon, there’ll be a new, immersive experience for the whole family to enjoy.
Opening in May 2015, the famous wax museum Madame Tussauds is launching an expansion of their London exhibit, featuring not only models of the characters, but entire scene recreations.

“Star Wars at Madame Tussauds will be a unique, immersive experience featuring 16 of the most famous heroes and villains in scenes from some of the most iconic moments featured in Star Wars Episodes I – VI,” the statement reads.
The official website has put up some teaser stills for Yoda’s exhibit, which places the model in his original trilogy home, the Dagobah forest:
We can’t wait to see more iconic figures from the movies! We imagine that Jar-Jar Binks will be quite popular (mainly because scorned fans can make angry faces at him), while lots of children of all ages will probably want to stop for a Wookie hug.
