We can’t imagine Lucifer will be a consultant for the LAPD for much longer, considering the way he keeps burning through crucial evidence.
If you’ve been anticipating more Lucifer since the pilot hit our screens last week, you’re in luck. To whet our appetite ahead of the second episode, Fox have released a few sneak peeks of what’s to come on “Lucifer, Stay. Good Devil.”
Amenadiel remains a thorn in Lucifer’s side
An apple a day may be enough to keep a doctor at bay, but the same can’t be said for angels. While Lucifer reminisces about simpler times, Amenadiel chooses to pay him a visit. But how do you tempt the ultimate tempter? Well, certainly not by bringing up their father, that’s for sure.
Amenadiel might think he has a bargaining chip, but Lucifer can prey on people’s fears better than anyone. Lucifer may be too sober to deal with the impending lecture, but he has the upper hand — Amenadiel is afraid he’s going to be placed in charge of Hell in Lucifer’s stead. Things might get a little dicey, the more desperate Amenadiel gets, but we’d be lying if we said we weren’t looking forward to the fallout.
Er… fetch?
Lucifer may be facing resistance from all sides, but he still has one, very tiny fan in Chloe’s daughter, Trixie. He may not know how to deal with smaller humans, but it’s about as good a guess as any, we suppose?
Better than accusing Trixie’s mother of accepting bribes to afford the house she’s living in. Don’t pull those punches, Lucifer.
It was only a flesh wound
We can’t say we wouldn’t be equally as suspicious as Chloe if we saw someone get shot six times and live to tell the tale — especially when said person didn’t exist as of five years ago.
Infuriatingly enough for Chloe, Lucifer still hasn’t told her a single lie. Whether she believes him or not about that earthly plain quip is her prerogative, but the truth will land eventually — and it’ll be interesting to see what happens next, to say the least.
Light ’em up
Well, at least Lucifer didn’t contaminate the crime scene with his own drugs. We can’t imagine his stint as a consultant for the LAPD is going to get any easier, or last very long, with his proclivity for smoking the evidence.
Should we start placing bets for when Chloe might shoot him? She wouldn’t be the first. Or the last, no doubt.
Lucifer airs tonight, February 1, at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
