Lost creator Damon Lindelof recently spoke about the hit show and whether he thinks it could go any further. But don’t expect his name to be attached.

Lindelof, who spoke to Variety about the use of social media as a barometer for television, thinks that ABC may be interested in the development of more Lost-based programming:

“It’s been two years (since the series wrapped) and we told the story we wanted to tell,” Lindelof said. But he admits ABC might look for ways to bring back “Lost” in some form. “I do feel like the world has not seen the end of ‘Lost,’ but I’m not going to have any involvement,” he said.

With that being said, he’s not necessarily worried about the idea:

“It would be hypocritical for me to say I’m going to do ‘Star Trek’ but I don’t want anyone to touch ‘Lost,’

A couple of us here at Hypable are particularly excited that there could be future shows based in the universe of Lost!

Are there any Losties out there squealing about this idea, or do you think that the show can only exist with Damon and Carlton?
