Recently, we told you Emma Watson was cast in the upcoming film, The Bling Ring, helmed by Lost in Translation‘s Sofia Coppola. Today, two of Emma’s co-stars were also announced!
The Bling Ring will feature an ensemble cast. Leslie Mann (Knocked Up, The Change-Up) has been cast as two of the girls’ mothers, and Israel Broussard will star as the male lead. American Horror Story‘s Taissa Farmiga will also appear in the film, along with new actresses Katie Chang, Claire Pfister and Georgia Rock .
Not many details have been released about the movie, however the Hollywood Reporter states:
Based on true events that took place in Beverly Hills, the project sees Emma Watson lead an ensemble cast to tell the story of a group of fashion and fame-obsessed teens who broke into the homes of celebrities…
…Coppola, who is producing with brother Roman Coppola and Youree Henley, has said previously she wants to reflect today’s culture of celebrity and brand obsession.
No information has been made available yet regarding the release date.
