TT games has been making Lego video games for some time, and now we get to see some of the faces behind Lego: The Lord of the Rings in a new behind-the-scenes trailer. The trailer includes new footage of Rivendell, Hobbiton and many more of Middle-Earth’s most iconic locations.
The developers outline what Lord of the Rings fans can look forward to in the upcoming Lego video game in the trailer, titled “Recreating Middle-Earth”. The addition of dialogue to the Lego universe is discussed, as is the scope of the game.
We first learned of a Lego themed Lord of the Rings video game in May, thanks to a retailer’s slip up. Since then, we’ve had two more trailers, a début trailer that released at June’s E3 convention, and a slightly more substantial trailer from Gamescom in August.
Although the game mirrors the whole of the movie trilogy, it will feature characters that did not get a role in the Peter Jackson films. 85 characters will be playable upon release. New regions of the map will become explorable as you progress through the game, and a fast travel system will let you jump between previously reached points with relative ease.
Lego: The Lord of the Rings is expected to launch on October 30 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, 3DS and PC.
