Two new LEGO games centered on Jurassic World and Avengers are coming your way, and a trailer for the former has been released!
The LEGO Game franchise seems never-ending: any popular action movie can, after all, be re-constructed in Legos and then torn down brick by brick.
And it’s definitely not ending any time soon! Following on the success of Harry Potter, Batman, Star Wars and many others, Warner Bros. has announced two new LEGO games to add to your collection.
LEGO Jurassic World will be a thrill for fans of the franchise. The game will not only let you smash your way through sets from the upcoming movie, but will also incorporate elements from Jurassic Park, The Lost World and Jurassic Park III. A press release says the game will allow fans “to play through key moments” and offer “the opportunity to fully explore the expansive grounds of Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna.”
Update (February 3): Here’s the first teaser trailer for LEGO Jurassic World, in which T-Rex roars a little too hard!
The game is set to be released in June, following Jurassic World‘s June 12 premiere date.
LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is set to blow most of the previous games out of the water, considering the popularity of the franchise. The game is based on both The Avengers and the upcoming Age of Ultron sequel, and we expect lots of surprising unlockable characters from the comic books.
We’ll have to wait a bit longer for the Avengers game, which will be released “at some point in the autumn.” It’ll be interesting to see how this game differs from Lego Marvel Super Heroes (pictured above), which already lets you play as most of the Avengers.
Both games will be released on all the major platforms: PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One and 3DS.
