Soon you’ll be able to sip on some of Starbucks’ trendiest drinks for a good cause, and it’s all thanks to Lady Gaga!
The “Perfect Illusion” singer announced on Monday (June 12) that she’s teaming up with Starbucks on an upcoming campaign called Cups for Kindness.
Through the collaboration, the singer has worked with Starbucks to come up with two new non-dairy drinks, which include Matcha Lemonade (Gaga’s personal favorite), and Violet Drink (a mix of blackberries and Starbucks’ Very Berry Hibiscus).
According to Nylon, through Cups of Kindness, Starbucks is set to donate 25 cents of every sale of Gaga’s concoctions to the singers Channel Kindness project. The company also revealed that a portion of the profits from two existing drinks (Pink Drink and Ombre Pink Drink) will be going toward the singer’s Born This Way Foundation.
The campaign runs from June 13 through June 19, which means there’s plenty of time to head out to your local Starbucks and sip on one of these cool beverages, all while knowing some of that money you just dropped is going to a great cause.
For those that don’t know, Gaga’s Channel Kindness project is a part of her Born This Way Foundation and works to inspire youths to document stories of kindness.
According to the foundation’s official website, the project aims to “train and equip a corps of 50 youth reporters in communities across the country to train their eyes, years, and hearts to find, recognize and report the acts of kindness that fill our daily lives.”
It’s nice to see that Gaga and Channel Kindness are committed to spreading a bit of positivity, and we love that she’s found a creative way to partner with Starbucks so that fans can help support the cause if they’re interested!
