Once again, a Kingdom Hearts title that is not the third proper entry in the series has been announced by Square Enix.
The publisher announced the HD collection yesterday at Tokyo Game Show, reports IGN. The nonsensically titled Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix, will include remastered versions of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts – Re: Chain of Memories and cut scenes only viewable in a theatre mode from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, no gameplay.
Remix is scheduled to launch in 2013 for the PlayStation 3 in Japan. No North American or European release has been announced as of yet.
Final Mix was a Japanese-exclusive release of the first Kingdom Hearts with new content already found in the North American version. Re: Chain of Memories is also a re-release of the 2004 GBA game that was ported to the PlayStation 2 in 2008. 358/2 Days is a DS title release in 2009.
Additionally, a brower-based social game in the Kingdom Hearts universe was also announced by Square Enix at TGS, Joytiq translates from a Famitsu report.
Though it’s not the elusive Kingdom Hearts 3 you’re looking for, will you still pick up Remix if it finds its way to the West?
