In the new image from the upcoming Jurassic World film, starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, we see Pratt is cocked, locked, and loaded to hunt the genetically engineered dino in the Jurassic Park sequel.
While Jurassic World’s previous image showed Chris Pratt already breaking all the rules we’d learned from past Jurassic Park movies, this new image shows he’s ready to go on the hunt for a genetically engineered dinosaur that will be featured in Jurassic World.
Since Pratt’s character knows to run this time, maybe he’ll have a leg up on the new T-Rex breed that’s been genetically altered. It looks like an antique rifle sporting a sniper scope, and a souped-up motorcycle is all he needs to take out the world’s deadliest predator.
The new Jurassic World image features a quote: “We’re going after it with everything we’ve got.” And we imagine that’s exactly what we’ll see as Pratt’s character heads off into the park to battle this genetically engineered dinosaur, with what looks like one massive rifle strapped to his back.
Jurassic World’s teaser trailers have looked really exciting, and we can’t wait to see what other little Easter eggs are included in Jurassic World, which are a nod to the original film in the upcoming addition to director Steven Spielberg’s dinosaur film series. It’s been 22 years since the original film hit theaters, and it’s great to see some prominent actors in the new film.

Chris Pratt portrays Owen Grady, a dino wrangler (and motorcycle fan), who seems to have some control over the velociraptors in the park, and he’s joined by Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays Claire Dearing, the owner, or at least manager of the new park in Jurassic World. It is quite a shame that the writers didn’t think that putting Jeff Goldblum back in the film was worth it, seeing as he was easily one of the best original characters — plus, he’s Jeff Goldblum.
Jurassic World looks like it will an incredibly epic adventure, and this time it honestly feels like the story will take place in an entirely functional theme park (which isn’t run by one person and Sam Jackson as a backup), where it all goes terribly wrong. With the previous Jurassic Park movies, this couldn’t be possible due the parks not being open to the public when mayhem begins.
With the park completely full, and open, Jurassic World will make for a massively epic disaster movie, with some incredibly talented actors. Starring alongside Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in Jurassic World are Jake Johnson, Judy Greer, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Katie McGrath, Vincent D’Onofrio, Lauren Lapkus, Omar Sy, and scientist BD Wong.
Jurassic World was written by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, who took over screenwriting duties when Trevorrow signed on to direct the sequel. The film’s release date has been set for June 12, 2015.
Soon, we’ll be cocked, locked, and loaded, but we’ll probably just…run!
