Disney’s live-action Jungle Book released a new trailer right after a shorter preview aired during the Super Bowl, featuring some exciting new footage and jaw-dropping visuals.
The trailer includes a ton of new scenes, plus great dialogue from Bill Murray in the role of Baloo. The preview is interesting because it warns of a lot of danger but also offers fun and moving messages.
Speaking of Baloo, this new trailer includes at least two interpretations of “The Bare Necessities.” Watch below:
The Super Bowl is always a great place for movie trailers to drop. Studios know it’s a perfect time to release new footage and grab a massive, wide audience. Check out the other trailers that aired!
Back in the first trailer, Mowgli was seen riding on Baloo (played by Bill Murray), and despite an unrealistic situation in the wild, it looks completely realistic as the giant bear saunters up with the little boy on his back.
We imagine Bill Murray will nail this role and make the film funnier than expected.
Other cast members include Lupita Nyong’o (Raksha), Christopher Walken (King Louie), Idris Elba (Shere Khan), Scarlett Johansson (Kaa), and Giancarlo Esposito (Akela).
The Jungle Book’s release date is set for April 15, 2016. The film introduces actor Neel Sethi as the main character, Mowgli, and includes an astonishing group of actors voicing the roles of the animals.
The Jungle Book’s official synopsis reads, “Directed by Jon Favreau (‘Iron Man’), based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories and inspired by Disney’s classic animated film, ‘The Jungle Book’ is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat.”
