It has just been announced that Jane Lynch, who plays Sue Sylvester on Glee, will be playing Miss Hannigan in Annie on Broadway!
According to Broadway.com, Jane Lynch will make her Broadway debut beginning May 16th!
She will be doing a limited run for the part this summer through July 14th. Glee fans need not fear that Sue Sylvester will be leaving the show as production will have wrapped on season 4 just in time for Lynch to join the cast on the Great White Way.
It looks like Jane will be doing more singing on Broadway in her couple-month stint than she will in her 4 seasons on Glee!
This isn’t the first time Jane has taken to the stage, however. She appeared off-Broadway in Nora Ephron’s Love, Loss and What I Wore as well as a couple of other productions.
Jane Lynch has won the Emmy and Golden Globe awards for her portrayal of the nasty cheerleading coach. Could Jane’s performance land her more buzz and hype for a Tony Award?
