James Corden recruited Anna Kendrick for a wonderful Late Late Show number: A medley of all the best-known love songs.
It was only a matter of time before Anna Kendrick found her way onto The Late Late Show With James Corden, and got involved in an amazing sketch number.
While a Carpool Karaoke might have worked just fine for the actress/singer, we’re very happy to see she got to show off some of her musical acting chops as well!
In this “Soundtrack to a Love Story,” Anna Kendrick and James Corden act out an entire love story, while singing bits of old and new love songs you’ll most definitely recognize. It is AMAZING, and a must-watch:
Here are the songs included, in order of appearance:
- “I Say a Little Prayer” – Aretha Franklin
- “Lady in Red” – Chris De Burgh
- “I Can’t Feel My Face” – The Weeknd
- “I’ll Make Love to You” – Boyz II Men
- “I Think I Love You” – The Partridge Family
- “Marry You” – Bruno Mars
- “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” – Elton John & Kiki Dee
- “It Wasn’t Me” – Shaggy
- “Someone Like You” – Adele
- “Believe” – Cher
- “I Will Always Love You” – Whitney Houston
This entire thing was incredible, and both their voices are super impressive — James Corden’s soprano is out of this world, and it’s all just even more charming when Anna Kendrick starts laughing at the end.
These two worked together before, both starring in the musical Into the Woods. After this incredible performance, we hope to see them do more projects together!
