iZombie season 1, episode 4, “Liv and Let Clive,” would’ve done Carl Douglas proud.
Brains and sex
Blaine wakes up in bed next to the woman he turned into a zombie that he met at the bar, named Jackie. The two get spray tans and their hair dyed to look more normal. Yet somehow, I doubt blending brains up with kale is considered “normal.”
Liv arrives at Major’s with coffee, just as he’s getting out of the shower in a towel. Major’s roommate Jesse was a punk and is now moving out, making Liv feel bad that she’s not paying half the rent. Major’s girlfriend joins the two, wearing his t-shirt. Corinne is Major’s new girl, and she went to Stanford. Cue Liv’s awkward walkout.
Liv relates the awkward experience with Ravi as they talk over the beaten up body of a fingerless and toothless John Doe gang member. Liv’s step brother walks in just as Liv is about to saw open a head. He’s disappointed that Peyton is out of town for the week. As Liv eats some of the gangster’s brains, Clive walks in and recognizes the dead man, calling him Sammy. When Clive gets gruff with Liv, she brain flashes to a disturbing scene of a mustachioed Clive beating Sammy’s friend senseless.
A Crooked Cop
Clive leaves, and Liv relates her shocking revelation to Ravi. Acting a bit paranoid from the gangster’s brain, Liv talks venomously about Karin. Liv asks Ravi to move in with Major instead, but he replies that he now lives week-to-week after being fired from the CDC.

Liv brain flashes to a wasabi torture scene at the video store that Clive was present at, panicking the undead sleuther.
An AJ stops Ravioli before they can leave, questioning the investigators about how they know Ray. Liv comments on AJ’s cobra tattoo, but the looks the gangsters give back to the two alerts Ravoili to leave. While Liv tells Ravi that AJ was the Cobra Gang leader, the two witness Clive entering the video store.
In their car, Blaine’s pushers complain about the brain deliveries they’re forced out on. It’s revealed that the two know about Blaine’s creation of more zombies. One of the pushers speaks of creating opportunity for themselves. The two make a plan of using Blaine’s zombie list to do so.

Ravor

Liv walks in as the two are hitting it off like no tomorrow about MMOs. And here we were thinking that we were going to ship Major and Liv this episode. “Ravor,” anyone?
Major leaves and Ravi shows Liv a picture of the old leader of the Cobras, AJ’s father. Liv theorizes that Clive ordered for Sammy to be murdered. Liv then attempts to put a tracker on a car unitl a gang member frightens her. Liv runs away, trips, brain flashes to Sammy’s death, and sees Clive driving away. Noting that she knows Kung Fu, Liv desperately relates to Clive that Ray, an undercover cop, has been discovered and is in mortal danger.
Meat hooks

Liv takes some serious damage, and AJ grabs some glass. Evan calls out for Liv in the distance, allotting AJ an easier target. Liv goes full zombie, wins the fight, and calls the police.

The episode wraps as Liv helps Ravi move into Major’s. The three hang out and play video games. “What’s that old zombie saying? Today is the first day of the rest of your half-dead life,” Liv jokes, tossing out her favorite mug.
