Check out the stunning new posters for Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four movie.
Kate Mara, Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell star in Fantastic Four, the second adaptation attempt for the iconic Marvel title.
Directed by Josh Trank, Fantastic Four is set to have a much more personal, intimate vibe, exploring how each character deals with his or her respective super powers.
Three new international posters hit the web today, showcasing the new cast:
The first poster allows the characters to show off their signature powers. Sue Storm (Mara) is manipulating her surroundings, the Human Torch (Jordan) flies in the background, the Thing (Bell) stands strong in the center… and, to our relief, Mr. Fantastic (Teller) is just standing there, no part of his body rubbery and/or elongated!
The two French posters feature Miles Teller at the front of the group, which makes sense, as Mr. Fantastic is the team’s de facto leader.

Although the last Fantastic Four was released only 10 years ago, we’re anticipating Josh Trank’s take on the story.
Trank is a relatively untested director, with only Chronicle (2012) and the TV series The Kill Point (2007) under his belt.
He has so far shown a lot of grace when it comes to tackling the inevitable fan backlash, although he did decide to drop out of the Star Wars anthology film he was slated to direct, due to the immense pressure he knew he’d once again be under.

A lot has changed in the 10 years since Fantastic Four was last adapted.
Not only has the special effects revolution made these superhero ventures a lot more feasible (and a lot less cringe-worthy; we’re looking at you, 2005-era Mr. Fantastic), but Hollywood has learned a lot about how to best translate comic books to the big screen.
Trank’s Fantastic Four is set to be darker, more personal and more human (ironically) than the last adaptation, and we remain optimistic.
