Hypable’s second annual shipping tournament, BattleShips, continues with a knockout round to see which couple has enough of a fan following to kick Amy and Rory out of their spot for the Doctor Who nomination!

Earlier this week we announced BattleShips 2.0, a fandom shipping tournament that will pit couple against couple from some of the biggest shows on Hypable to see which ship has the biggest voice. We’ve pre-selected the couples and the shows and put all the runners-up from last year up against each other, but now it’s your turn to try and vote them out!

Your goal in this round is to vote for the ship you think should represent Doctor Who as BattleShips continues onto the show VS show stage. We’ve pre-selected Amy and Rory since they were runners-up in last year’s nomination for the show, but if enough fans vote for a different couple they might get knocked out of the competition!

You’ll have 24 hours to vote Amy/Rory out of BattleShips and replace them with a ship of your choice or vote for them to stay! But here’s the catch: Amy/Rory will have an additional 200 votes added onto their numbers when the polls are over, to make knocking them out of their spots that much harder. After all, they were the runners-up last year and it’s going to take some serious fan power to kick them out!

Use the poll below to vote for your favorite ship from Doctor Who. If you’d like to vote anonymously simply select your ship and then when the pop-up comes up select “keep vote anonymous,” and make sure that you have pop-ups enabled.

And don’t forget: Amy/Rory will get 200 additional votes when the poll ends.

Also, a reminder for people who don’t like reading long passages of text: Rose/Ten do not qualify this year because they won last year’s BattleShips nominations.

Check out the list of couples set to take the stage as BattleShips 2.0 continues with the knockout rounds over the next two weeks. After each couple is nominated we’ll enter them into a bracket-styled competition where they’ll go head to head until one ship is titled Hypable’s Ship of the Year.

Netflix has announced Bill Nye Saves the World, a new talk show slated for Spring 2017.

In a statement, Netflix says “each episode will tackle a topic from a scientific point of view, dispelling myths, and refuting anti-scientific claims that may be espoused by politicians, religious leaders or titans of industry.”

“Since the start of the Science Guy show, I’ve been on a mission to change the world by getting people everywhere excited about the fundamental ideas in science,” said Bill Nye in a press release.

“Today, I’m excited to be working with Netflix on a new show, where we’ll discuss the complex scientific issues facing us today, with episodes on vaccinations, genetically modified foods and climate change. With the right science and good writing, we’ll do our best to enlighten and entertain our audience. And, perhaps we’ll change the world a little.”

Netflix also promises that “In Bill’s unfiltered style, he will bring in special guests, conduct experiments and demonstrations, and ultimately let the facts lead the argument.”

Bill Nye is best known for Bill Nye the Science Guy, the half-hour PBS show that ran from 1993 through 1998.

The theme song is iconic. Science RULES!

The new Netflix series seems like a continuation of Bill Nye the Science Guy, so we’re very excited for the new show to launch in 2017.

The first Sherlock series 4 trailer premiered last month at San Diego Comic-Con, where Cumberbatch teased that “a lot comes home to roost this season… it’s ballsy.” Indeed, the trailer suggests that the characters have a lot to be concerned about. Check it out below:

The new season of Sherlock doesn’t have a premiere date, but it’s expected to launch in late 2016 or early 2017. Perhaps today’s portrait release suggests that some more news is on the horizon!

The last season of Sherlock aired in early 2015, but the busy schedules of Cumberbatch and Freeman have left the show with production challenges.

Coming as absolutely no surprise whatsoever, Netflix is bringing Stranger Things back for a second season!

Can we get a YAAAS?

Netflix’s hugely successful ’80s horror series Stranger Things has been renewed for season 2. The news hit Wednesday morning, and fans are already losing their minds (as well they should).

Here’s Netflix’s official announcement video:

The video plays the show’s eerie theme, over what appears to be the season 2 episode titles: “MadMax,” “The Boy Who Came Back to Life,” “The Pumpkin Patch,” “The Palace,” “The Storm,” “The Pollywog,” “The Secret Cabin,” “The Brain,” and “The Lost Brother.”

Netflix has confirmed that there will be nine episodes of Stranger Things season 2. Writers/creators Matt and Ross Duffer will return, along with executive producers Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen. No news of cast changes yet, although we know that four new characters will be showing up.

We’re stoked to see this awesome series return for a second season. No spoilers, but Stranger Things season 1 kind of ended on a major cliffhanger, which needs to be resolved.

While we’re glad to have official confirmation that the show is returning, there never really was a question, considering the series’ popularity. In fact, we’ve already compiled a list of 60 questions the show needs to answer.

The Duffer brothers have also been pretty candid about their future plans for the series, hinting that season 2 will pick up at least a year after the first season ended. They’re further implying that the show could continue for as many as seven seasons, to mirror Harry Potter and allow us to watch the kids grow up.

“I think we talked like a larger time jump where the kids are older now and it’s a different decade,” Ross Duffer tells EW. “That’s something we batted around from the very beginning. But for us, there’s still more story here, there’s still things that are unresolved.”

But first, let’s wait and see if Stranger Things season 2 can maintain the momentum of season 1. As much as we love Netflix series, they’ve been kind of hit-and-miss with their second seasons.
