When it comes to being cast in huge film franchises, apparently the rules amongst agents or studios is that it’s “one and done.”
Actor Kellan Lutz, who plays Emmett Cullen in The Twilight Saga, says that he was told he couldn’t audition for The Hunger Games.
From The Insider:
Friday night, Insider.com’s Mikey Glazer caught up with Twilight star Kellan Lutz at Audi’s Super Bowl party, where Emmett Cullen told us he loved The Hunger Games script and really wanted a role in the film — however, he was quickly informed by the Powers That Be there could not be any “crossover” between the two franchises.
Do you think a Twilight star in The Hunger Games would have caused any issues? While we agree the two franchises need to be kept separate, having a supporting Twilight actor taking on another supporting role wouldn’t have created much of a comparison. We’re interested in your opinions!
Lutz could’ve made a good Finnick or maybe even Cato – though he’s probably too big/old for the latter role.
