Showtime ended Homeland’s episode seven, “The Clearing”, with a teaser for this Sunday’s eighth episode, “I’ll Fly Away” with Brody clearly at breaking point.
With “The Clearing” airing on Sunday evening, we saw the first promotional video of this forthcoming Sunday’s episode, “I’ll Fly Away” and it all seems to be too much for war hero, Nicholas Brody.
Jess screams at him, “Tell the CIA to back off!” Brody shouts back, “I can’t! I can’t! I can’t!” Jessica knows that Carrie is still lingering in Brody’s life, and there’s no doubt that she’d want her husband to steer clear of the CIA, but more importantly, Carrie.
In a small clip of a conversation with Roya, and Brody tells her, “I’m through!” clearly at dismay at the accusations coming his way regarding his involvement with a terrorist attack on American soil.

Carrie confronts Brody in a parking lot demanding his keys and presumably drives him to a nearby hotel room. After a deep conversation Brody tells Carrie, “You think you can save this – you can’t.” Carrie responds, “I care what happens to you!”. There’s no surprise Carrie is connecting more with her emotional side after her intimate moment with Brody in last week’s episode.
SpolierTV have supplied the official episode synopsis detailing;
He lies for Carrie. He lies for Roya. And he’s still lying to Jessica. Brody heads towards a serious meltdown as he struggles to keep his complicated alliances clear. Against Quinn’s orders, Carrie stages a risky intervention to keep Brody in line, forcing both of them to confront their mixed emotions. Meanwhile, Dana turns to an unlikely source for comfort.
“I’ll Fly Away” will premiere Sunday evening on Showtime at 10PM/ET. Until then, check out the official trailer. And as always, tells us what you think about Homeland in the comments below.
