With the release of House of Hades comes the title of the fifth and final book in the Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan.
The title of the final book will be The Blood of Olympus. It will release in the fall of 2014 and conclude the Heroes of Olympus series.
Having not yet read House of Hades, and obviously knowing nothing about The Blood of Olympus, our guesses as to what the title could mean are pretty basic. On the one hand, it sounds ominous. Could Gaea and her minions be attempting to slaughter the gods on Olympus, spilling their immortal blood and taking over?
On the other hand, perhaps it’s more metaphorical. Maybe the demigods are the “blood” of Olympus — that thing that keeps the whole network going, the heart and soul of the contemporary Greek mythological world.
Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll have to wait a whole year to find out. But never fear! In the meantime, get your hands on House of Hades, which releases today. We’ll have a spoiler-free review up as soon as possible.
