Microsoft and 343 Industries announced this morning in a press release that Halo 4 will officially release worldwide on November 6.
The news comes only one day after Microsoft’s Major Nelson teased the release date and some form of collaboration with late night host Conan O’Brien.
“We are beginning a new saga with Halo 4 and embarking on a journey that will encompass the next decade of Halo games and experiences,” said Phil Spencer, corporate vice president of Microsoft Studios in the press release. “Millions of fans worldwide have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to step back into the boots of Master Chief, and, with Halo 4 leading the charge, we’re confident 2012 will be the most successful year in Xbox history.”
In addition to the release date, Microsoft also revealed the game will have a “special segment” on tonight’s episode of Conan.
What do you think of Microsoft’s positioning of Halo 4? Is November 6 a good release date for the game? Will you be watching Conan tonight to see more?
