If you want Hellboy III to happen, head on over to Guillermo del Toro’s Twitter account and vote before time is up.
The Hellboy writer/director has been talking about finishing out the trilogy for years. The first film came out all the way back in 2004, and its sequel, The Golden Army, was released in 2008. That means its been nearly 10 years without a third movie to finish out the story.
Taking to Twitter, del Toro invited fans to vote in a poll, citing that this was our chance to vote the “right way” in 2017:
Informal poll (let's see how many votes we get in 24 hours)

Mike Mignola, in case you’re unaware, is the comic book creator of Hellboy, which is published by Darkhorse Comics. “Da Perl” can only refer to Ron Perlman, Hellboy himself, who did a fantastic job bringing to life such a bold and interesting character.
The poll is more than halfway to its goal as of this writing, with roughly 16 hours left on the clock. And just in case you thought this was all too good to be true, del Toro has reassured fans he’s completely serious about keeping his promise:
Halfway there. 100K and I promise a serious sit down w Mignola et Perlman!

Netflix’s Trollhunters series, as created by del Toro, has been gaining attention recently, along with Pacific Rim 2. The latter will no longer be directed by del Toro, but he is still involved in the production process. His next mysterious creature-infused project is The Shape of Water.
