Gordon has some explaining to do tonight on Gotham season 1, episode 7, “Penguin’s Umbrella.”
The last episode of Gotham was a throwback to when Bullock started working at the GCPD. Picture him just like Gordon is now, eager to save innocents and clean up the city. But working a case of a serial killer called Spirit of the Goat changed him.
It seemed someone was continuing the Goat’s work and targeting the children of Gotham’s elite. Bullock knew it wasn’t a copycat because the new killer is sewing pennies into the victims skull just like the first time – and no one knew that fact except Bullock and his partner.
Following a hunch they went back to where the original killer was working and caught him. But Bullock stills thinks someone else is behind it all.
After seeing the killer clenching his fist, Bullock remembered the parents of the victim doing the same. Looking up the family therapist uncovers that she also treated both of the Spirit of the Goat killers. After admitting the truth, and trying to kill Bullock, he shoots her in the leg to take her in.
Gordon also got into deep trouble when Montoya and Allen arrested him for the murder of Oswald Cobblepot. Luckily for Gordon, Oswald thinks of them as friends. Oswald arrived at the GCPD before they could lock Gordon up – and proved his innocence.
