Once considered one of the most exciting revivals in television history, Disney Channel has now canceled the Boy Meets World spinoff Girl Meets World following three seasons.
The final episode will air on January 20, 2017. Said Disney Channel in a statement, “We are proud that for over 70 episodes, Michael Jacobs, April Kelly and the talented creative team, cast and crew entertained viewers with an authentic and heartfelt look at navigating adolescence.”
The final episode of Girl Meets World is titled “Girl Meets Goodbye” and will find “the Matthews family contemplating a life-changing decision.”
Added an official Twitter account related to the show, “It is with incredible pride in our work and complete sadness that things end, that I report to this wonderful audience that our show is over.”

“I just officially got the call,” the show’s writers account continued, “and would like to thank this audience for its incredible love and loyalty. Please watch our January episodes. We leave you with three incredible souvenirs of a show we couldn’t be more proud of. As I look back I can tell you with absolute certainty — We gave you our best.”
Girl Meets World stars original series stars Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel. A reason for the cancelation was not provided.
