Alfie Allen discusses Game of Thrones in a new interview, talking about playing Theon Greyjoy and what other characters he’d like to play.
Speaking to The Mary Sue, Allen admits that if he wasn’t playing Theon (which he enjoys, as it’s a “complex character”) he’d like to play Tyrion, Melisandre, or Arya. On the latter, he explains:
It’s so boring, though, because everyone really likes her. I love Arya, but [she’s] everyone’s choice. I love Arya’s character.
He also talks a bit about Theon, and reveals:
I don’t think you can’t trust Theon Greyjoy, I just think everyone’s really mean to him. […] I try to play the part as honestly as I can. I’ve been living with Robb Stark for almost four years now. In my brain, Arya is my sister; Bran is my brother. So, I can react to them in a very honest way, it just gets complicated sometimes because the lines get blurred.
It’s interesting that Allen says he doesn’t think Theon can be trusted. And as far as wanting to play Arya, well who wouldn’t?! That might have been a little weird though.
