We have an exclusive first look at Forever Doon’s cover, which features our heroines on opposite sides of the bridge.
‘Forever Doon’ cover reveal
Without further ado, check out the first look at the final Doon book’s cover. Forever Doon was written by author duo Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon.
“I *heart* the cover for Forever Doon so much!” Corp tells us. “What really makes it unique is that the front and back pictures each tell half of a story. And the bridge…how you view the bridge really depends on whether you’re an optimist or a pessimist. This cover is going to make an amazing wall poster.”
The authors reflect on ‘Forever Doon’
“Forever Doon is bittersweet because this final book in the series gives our characters the epic conclusion they’ve been headed toward since the first page of Doon,” Langdon tells us. “We get to see Veronica, Jamie, Mackenna, and Duncan each come into their greater destinies individually and as a united force, which is immensely satisfying. But as an author, I will mourn these characters and this world for a very long time.”
I’ve been both anticipating and dreading the end of the Doon Series,” Corp adds. “Anticipating, because I couldn’t wait to tell this final installment of the story. I think readers are going to enjoy some of the nuances to the Calling that are revealed in Forever Doon. Dreading because I have so much love for these characters, my co-author, and our readers, the Doonians. I don’t want Doon to end, ever!”
About ‘Forever Doon’
With the witch of Doon on the throne, Jamie believed dead, and Duncan and Mackenna trapped in Alloway, Veronica has no choice but to put her grief aside and prepare her remaining followers for the impending battle against the false queen and her forces. But while on a covert mission to steal a powerful elixir from the castle, Veronica discovers her true love may actually be alive, and fighting a battle of his own.
With the Brig o’ Doon destroyed and the portal fragmented, Doon’s forces are not only divided, but also isolated in different dimensions. With the help of a storyteller as ancient as the witch herself, Kenna and Duncan learn they must rebuild the bridge to have any chance of crossing back into Doon with their ragtag army. But when Mackenna insists on fighting as well, Duncan soon realizes the only way he can ensure her safety is to turn her into a cold-hearted killer.
For Vee, Jamie, Kenna, and Duncan, saving their kingdom while keeping their lives intact will take a miracle.
About the authors
Lorie Langdon has over 10 years of experience writing online and print advertising for a Fortune 500 company, and left her thriving corporate career to satisfy the voices in her head. Now as a full-time author and stay-at-home mom, she spends her summers editing poolside while dodging automatic water-gun fire, and the rest of the year tucked into her cozy office, Havanese puppy by her side, working to translate her effusive imagination into the written word. Lorie is one-half of the author team that writes the popular Doon series, a YA reimagining of Brigadoon!, and her first solo novel, Gilt Hollow, will release fall of 2016.
NY Times & USA Today Best-selling author, Carey Corp, wrote her first book, a brilliant retelling of Star Wars, at the prodigious age of seven. Since then, her love affair of reinvention has continued to run amuck. Writing both literary fiction and stories for young adults, she begins each morning consuming copious amounts of coffee while weaving stories that capture her exhaustive imagination. She harbors a voracious passion (in no consistent order) for mohawks, Italy, musical theater, chocolate, and Jane Austen. Her debut novel for teens, The Halo Chronicles: The Guardian, earned her national recognition as 2010 Golden Heart finalist and more recently made the N Times Best-seller list.
