Brace yourselves. The first full-length trailer for Netflix’s Fuller House — with real footage from the show! — has arrived.
Netflix has slowly released small teases for the Full House spinoff as we’ve approached its February 26 premiere date, but now the streaming site has unleashed a proper trailer.
The trailer debuted on a new episode of Ellen which airs today in the United States. Show stars Jodie Sweetin (who plays Stephanie Tanner), Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler), and Candace Cameron Bure (D.J. Tanner-Fuller) appeared on the talk show for an interview as well. There’s lots to see in this new preview. We learn how the sisters decide to move in with one another and how they’ll play off one another (with lots of energy, it seems). We also hear countless sitcom applause lines, and see lots of familiar faces including John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis), Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), and Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone).
Interestingly, the interview portion of the video reveals that the cast are keeping an open door for the Olsen twins should one of them want to return to the show. We also learn that they’re mentioned at least once in Fuller House to explain why Michelle is absent.
In Fuller House, the adventures that began in 1987 on Full House continue, with veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure) recently widowed and living in San Francisco. D.J.’s younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and D.J.’s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), along with Kimmy’s feisty teenage daughter Ramona (Soni Nicole Bringas), all move in to help take care of D.J.’s three boys — the rebellious 12-year-old Jackson (Michael Champion), neurotic 7-year-old Max (Elias Harger) and her newborn baby, Tommy Jr (Messitt Twins).
