Disney and Pixar have released four new posters for their Finding Nemo sequel Finding Dory. And each of them asks — yep, you guessed it.
Surely kids will enjoy these posters as they look for the blue fish voiced by Ellen DeGeneres “hiding” somewhere in the frame:
The Finding Dory marketing has been playing up the whole “where the heck is she?” angle from the beginning. At the D23 Expo last summer, an animated poster showed the forgetful fish quickly swimming onto the screen before hiding again. In November, another poster told viewers that she “just kept swimming.”
The movie’s title and its promotional taglines are only metaphorical. As far as we know, the movie tells the story of Dory looking for her family, and by extension, herself. In other words, she’s only lost in the sense that she’s looking to find her roots.
Might a new trailer for Finding Dory be on the horizon? The first (and only) trailer debuted in November, and with the film hitting theaters this June, we’re definitely due for another.
“Finding Dory reunites everyone’s favorite forgetful blue tang, Dory, with her friends Nemo and Marlin on a search for answers about her past. What can she remember? Who are her parents? And where did she learn to speak Whale?” reads a synopsis from Disney. The movie is directed by Finding Nemo helmer Andrew Stanton.
